About Us – June Isle Clothier

About Us

At June Isle we strive to provide clothing that is natural, ethical, and long lasting. We are inspired by nature to create simple designs using quality materials. Our goal is to make long lasting quality garments that will transition easily from season to season. Our products are locally made by our seamstresses in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. By working locally we have the opportunity to support our community as well as see how our garments are made and who they are made by. We are a part of every step of the process. Our textiles are all natural as well as organic. We use only high quality fabrics made from natural fibers. These textiles are dyed naturally, without chemical processing. We specialize in 100% pure European linen as well as organic certified, OEKO-TEC approved, hemp, linen, and cotton fabric blends. At June Isle’s core is the intention to ethically source and produce garments that respect both humans and the planet. We are passionate about traceability, sustainability, ethical practice as well as ensuring that giving back is built into the company's DNA. A portion of the company's profit is given to an NPO that assists women in breaking free from many forms of slavery. We value integrity & ethical practice and believe that the world of fashion needs to change if we are going to preserve our natural world. We at June Isle want to show our customers that "less" really is is "more", and that buying with intention and integrity is possible, even in the world of fashion.

We make clothes you can feel good about!

Welcome to our family of slow fashion.

We are Margot and Elise; a mother daughter team based in Vancouver British Columbia. I (Elise) was inspired to create modern, timeless, well-made, and ethically sourced children’s apparel after having kids of my own. I found that it was difficult to find this type of locally made clothing, especially within Canada. My dream became reality when June Isle launched in the Spring of 2017. We started by designing simple linen children's wear. Our brand was well received and as the business grew I joined forces with my mother Margot, who has a business and sales background. We have now expanded into the world of women's wear by designing multifunctional garments that can be worn by women of all ages including nursing mothers. Together we are working hard to grow June Isle into an ethically made brand that produces well-made and livable clothing for women and children.
